How convert to png works
PNG is useful for diagrams, screenshots, interface graphics and artwork with transparent edges. Convert a browser-readable photo or graphic to PNG when you need a lossless raster output or alpha transparency. The source remains available separately.
Your browser decodes the input and writes the pixels to a PNG canvas export. A JPEG converted to PNG will not recover detail already lost to JPEG compression. Photos often become much larger as PNG, so compare output size before using it on a web page.

Formats and limits
PNG can be much larger than JPEG for photos; animation is not preserved. Input decoding depends on your browser. Files are limited to 25 MB each and 40 megapixels to protect browser memory.
Privacy
The processing code runs locally in your browser. This tool does not upload the selected image to Do The IMG. Avoid sharing downloaded files if they contain sensitive content.
