How blur image works
Apply a soft blur to a whole image for backgrounds or a gentle visual treatment. Increase the radius for a stronger effect. This tool acts on the entire canvas; it does not offer selective masking, so use an editor when only one area needs blurring.
A browser canvas blur filter is applied while drawing the image into a new file. The amount of blur is an approximate pixel radius and may look different at different source resolutions. Download the result and inspect its edges and fine details at full size.

Formats and limits
Blur hides details visually but may not be sufficient to anonymize sensitive data. Input decoding depends on your browser. Files are limited to 25 MB each and 40 megapixels to protect browser memory.
Privacy
The processing code runs locally in your browser. This tool does not upload the selected image to Do The IMG. Avoid sharing downloaded files if they contain sensitive content.
