About Crop Image

Crop away edges or isolate a subject with exact pixel coordinates. Start X and Start Y mark the top-left position of the rectangle; crop width and height determine how much of the source is retained. This is useful for precise cutouts when you know the required dimensions.

How the browser tool works

The browser reads only the selected rectangle and draws it into a new canvas. Values that extend beyond the source are rejected instead of producing a misleading blank border. For a centered crop, subtract your desired width from the source width and divide by two for Start X, then do the same with height.

How to use it

  1. Choose a supported source file in the workspace above.
  2. Adjust the available options and inspect the preview or settings.
  3. Process the image and examine the downloaded file at its intended size before publishing.

Limits and privacy

Animated GIFs are exported as a still frame by canvas-based cropping.

The workspace works locally in your browser; selected source images are not sent to this site's application server. Some features load third-party code from a CDN, and large images may run out of device memory. Keep a backup of your original.

Questions about Crop Image

Can I crop outside the original picture?

No. The crop area must remain within the original pixel dimensions.\nDoes cropping change the original file? | No. It exports a separate image with only the selected rectangle.
