About GIF Maker

Create a short looping GIF from 2 to 10 still photos or graphics. Frames use your selected file order and a shared delay setting. GIF is useful for simple demonstrations and reactions, though it has a restricted color palette and often makes larger files than modern video formats.

How the browser tool works

The browser fits each image into a 480 × 480 white canvas, reduces colors to a fixed 256-color palette and encodes the frames into a GIF89a file. A longer delay makes each frame stay visible for more time. Download and play the result to check the sequence and pace.

How to use it

  1. Choose a supported source file in the workspace above.
  2. Adjust the available options and inspect the preview or settings.
  3. Process the image and examine the downloaded file at its intended size before publishing.

Limits and privacy

GIF has a limited color palette; large animations can become very large.

The workspace works locally in your browser; selected source images are not sent to this site's application server. Some features load third-party code from a CDN, and large images may run out of device memory. Keep a backup of your original.
