About Rotate Image
Correct an image that faces the wrong way with a quarter turn or a half turn. Choose 90 degrees clockwise, 180 degrees or 270 degrees clockwise. The exported image has adjusted canvas dimensions where a quarter turn swaps width and height.
How the browser tool works
The browser rotates its drawing coordinate system and paints the image at the center of a new canvas. It then exports a separate file. This changes the actual pixels rather than relying on orientation metadata that some applications may ignore.
How to use it
- Choose a supported source file in the workspace above.
- Adjust the available options and inspect the preview or settings.
- Process the image and examine the downloaded file at its intended size before publishing.
Limits and privacy
A new file is encoded; it may not have the same bytes or metadata as the source.
The workspace works locally in your browser; selected source images are not sent to this site's application server. Some features load third-party code from a CDN, and large images may run out of device memory. Keep a backup of your original.
